FAQ
Why does the size of the Pendulum Wave Music Machine change in AR?
In the pursuit of realism SSSwing adjusts the length of the pendulums as the tempo (bpm) of the song changes. The period T of a simple pendulum (that’s the time taken for 2 beats in our case) is given by
T ≈ 2π√(l/g)where l is the length of the pendulum and g is the acceleration due to gravity. Making the tempo very slow/fast would make the length of the pendulum very long/short, so, using the magic of AR, SSSwing does make some compensating adjustments to gravity …
What does the Best synchronisation switch do?
If all the pendulums are released from the same starting angle then the shortest pendulum (P18) will pass the vertical first, followed by P17 and so on. If Best synchronisation is ON, an adjustment is made so that all the pendulums pass the vertical at the same time, achieving the best synchronisation for the first beat of each pendulum sequence.
